Beyond Ideas is a thoughtfully crafted debut EP by the German singer Tabeah. With her eight musicians – including a string ensemble, ambient guitarist Kryshe (Hidden Shoal), bass player Claas-Henning Dörris and pianist David Ehlers – Tabeah has created a sound that is moving between post-rock, baroque-pop and soundtrack. The flying melodies and vast ambient landscapes remind of Jonsi and Sigur Ros and make this music an electrifying and intimately moving experience. Tabeah shares stories of inspiring encounters with people within the Israel-Palestine conflict, Tibet and other places, with unusual depth of soul.

Let The Rains Fall – Tabeah Soldiers kick her down into the dirt, But they cannot bind her voice for freedom. Red barb now becomes her cloister, But within her heart, she stands up free. He sets himself on fire in the dark, But as he goes he knows it's all within light. He gives his life in deepest silence, And the world will hear his gift to peace, Prechorus: What does it take, to stand up for What is right, to walk with What is grace, what does it take Chorus: And the rains fall And the floods rise And the guns blow And beat against the walls Yet on rock they stand, While the storm floods the sands, They will not be moved, So let the rains fall They ride into the guns with flags of peace, As they're taken to the sky their nation sings freedom! A million shave their heads and fast till death, And the world will remember the power of peace. Prechorus Chorus Bridge: Would you rise? Would you speak? Would you fight, For what's right? Would I be silent? Would I forgive? Would I sing, In the face of wrong? Chorus

Reason To Go 10:06
Reason To Go Beautiful, faint child Take my hand No reason, no reason You should stay! Guide you over Rest at home No reason, no reason You should stay! Where am I going? Will I be ok? What can I trust in? Give me a sign I can feel! Rest assured! You will be fine! No reason, no reason You should fear! Guide me along! I’ve been waiting so long. You take this mine hand! It’s not mine to decide, But don’t let go! Take her golden, broken Soul and Let her Feel your Love!!! See her Oh treat her Like Your own!

Beyond Ideas 06:45
Beyond ideas Palm tree fields where sprinklers rain, Caged away from desert plains. A woman hangs clothes and kids play out, Next door the soldiers hang around. Fears ignite and hearts are piled With system truth and death toll files. Everyone speaks, there are many sides. Where did it start and whose story is right? Beyond ideas of wrong and right, There is a field Where you and I we meet We walk and listen and quietly pray, At dawn we awake to armed brigades. They’re headed south in line with the birds. Dawn chorus and bomb drops blur. Beyond ideas of wrong and right, There is a field Where you and I we meet God picks up the flute and blows, Each note comes through as needs in us - A passion, a longing-pain, So let my lips sound out again! Beyond ideas of wrong and right There is a field A field where you and I we meet Oh, many notes sound loud, so sing! hmm sing! Oh, sing!
